These terms apply to your use of DroneServices.nz. DroneServices.nz is operated by Rainlover Group Ltd, trading as DroneServices.nz (“DroneServices.nz”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms.

1. What DroneServices.nz is

DroneServices.nz is an independent information website about drone services in New Zealand. It includes guides, a directory of drone operators and a free form for requesting drone work. We don’t carry out drone work ourselves. We are not part of, or endorsed by, the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAA).

2. Information on the site

  • Our guides, articles and videos are general information, not legal, regulatory, agrichemical or professional advice. Rules, prices and product labels change, so check the current position with the CAA, your regional council, the product label and your operator before relying on it.
  • We try to keep information accurate and up to date and cite our sources, but we don’t guarantee that everything on the site is complete, current or free of errors.

3. Operator listings

  • A listing is not an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of an operator’s work.
  • Some listings were compiled from public information, mainly the operator’s own website and the CAA’s public Part 102 list, and are marked “Compiled from public information – not yet confirmed by the operator”. Listings marked “Details confirmed by the operator” have been reviewed by the operator, not independently audited by us.
  • Before you book, check the operator’s CAA certification, insurance, qualifications and, for spraying, the chemical and agricultural ratings and any regional council requirements that apply. Our guide to choosing an operator lists what to ask.

4. Requesting a drone service

  • The request service is free for people requesting work.
  • When you submit a request, we pass it to operators who say they cover your area and do that kind of work. We can’t guarantee that any operator will respond, quote or be available.
  • Any agreement for drone work is between you and the operator. We are not a party to it and aren’t responsible for the operator’s work, prices, conduct, compliance or insurance.
  • Please give accurate information and only submit genuine requests.

5. For operators

  • Listings are currently free.
  • If you claim, update or add a listing, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the business.
  • You keep ownership of the photos, videos, logos and text you send us. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display them on DroneServices.nz and in related promotion of your listing, and you confirm you have the right to grant that licence.
  • We may edit listings for accuracy, length and consistency, and we may decline or remove a listing, for example if information can’t be checked or the listing is misleading.
  • You can ask us to update or remove your listing at any time using the claim or update form.
  • We won’t describe an operator as “approved”, “certified”, “trusted” or similar unless that status has been independently verified.

6. Using the site properly

Please don’t misuse the site. For example, don’t submit false or spam requests, copy the directory in bulk, try to break or overload the site, or use it to send unsolicited marketing to listed operators.

7. Content and trade marks

The text, design and original graphics on the site belong to us or our licensors. You may share links and short quotes with credit. Product names and trade marks such as DJI and Agras belong to their owners and are used only to describe products.

8. Links to other websites

We link to other websites, including government sources and operators’ own sites. We aren’t responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

9. Liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that can’t legally be excluded. If you use the site for the purposes of a business, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply.
  • To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from relying on information on it, or from dealings with any operator you find or contact through it.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
